Pumps, latches, valves, and spray arms are on the truck. Most repairs done same visit.
Edmonton's water has moderate hardness, which causes mineral buildup on spray arms and the heating element. This is often a spray arm or inlet valve issue combined with hard-water scale — we clean and repair both on the same visit.
Both cause poor cleaning but they're different repairs. Our tech diagnoses in 15 minutes: if water pressure is fine but distribution is uneven, it's the spray arm. If the machine sounds normal but dishes stay dirty, it's often the wash pump.
If the repair is under 50% of a new unit and the machine is under 8 years old, repair almost always wins. Dishwashers are relatively inexpensive to fix — control boards and pumps are the most expensive items.
We primarily service built-in dishwashers. Call us for countertop units and we'll advise whether repair is practical.
