Fridge Repair Problems We Solve

A fridge emergency means spoiled groceries and a ticking clock. When we open in October 2026, Kodiak Edmonton technicians plan to prioritize same-day calls for fridge repair — we'll carry compressor and evaporator parts on the truck.

Not cooling

Food warming up. Compressor, evaporator fan, condenser coils — we diagnose it all. Deep dive →

Water leaking inside

Blocked defrost drain or damaged door gasket — common and fixable. Deep dive →

Ice maker not working

Water inlet valve, ice maker module, or feeler arm may be at fault.

Running constantly

Dirty condenser coils, bad door seal, or thermostat issue.

Water dispenser not working

Inlet valve, dispenser switch, or frozen water line — we check all three.

Common Questions

Fridge Repair FAQ

My fridge died — repair or replace?

If the compressor failed on a fridge under 8 years old, repair usually wins. Older than 12 years with a compressor failure, replacement often makes more sense. Our tech will give you a straight answer — and the math — before you decide.

Is ice maker repair worth it?

Usually yes. Ice maker replacements are straightforward and relatively affordable ($180–$320 typically). We carry ice maker assemblies for Samsung, LG, and Whirlpool on the truck.

Do you repair Sub-Zero and Viking refrigerators?

Yes. Built-in premium refrigerators are common in Edmonton's newer south-side and west-end homes. We carry parts and are trained on Sub-Zero, Viking, Miele, and Bosch.

How long will the repair take?

Most fridge repairs take 1–2 hours on the first visit. If we need to order a sealed system part, we'll book a return trip — usually within 2 business days.

Will you offer same-day fridge repair in Edmonton when you open?

Yes. Fridge repairs are prioritized — we know every hour counts when food is spoiling.
