Washer Repair Problems We Solve

Whether your washer won't drain, won't spin, or just stopped mid-cycle — Kodiak's Edmonton technicians carry the most common washer parts on every truck. Most repairs are done on the same visit.

Not draining

Water left in drum after cycle. Usually a pump, filter, or lid switch issue. Deep dive →

Not spinning

Drum sits still or spins weakly. Often a drive belt, motor coupling, or control board. Deep dive →

Leaking water

Puddles under or around the machine. We trace the source fast. Deep dive →

Won't start

Machine unresponsive. Could be door latch, control board, or power supply.

Making loud noise

Banging, grinding, or squealing during cycle. Bearings or drum support.

Not filling with water

Inlet valve, water pressure, or lid switch may be at fault.

Shaking violently

Off-balance load, worn suspension rods, or levelling issue.

Error codes on display

We diagnose all error codes for Samsung, LG, Whirlpool and more.

Common Questions

Washer Repair FAQ

Is it worth repairing my washer, or should I replace it?

A good rule: if the repair costs less than 50% of a new comparable washer and the machine is under 8 years old, repair. Our tech will give you a straight answer — we don't push repairs that aren't worth it. We have a full guide here: Repair or Replace?

My washer is shaking violently — is that dangerous?

Not immediately dangerous, but it shortens the machine's life fast. Usually it's an unbalanced load, worn suspension rods, or a levelling issue. We can typically fix it on the same visit.

Do you fix high-end washers like Miele and Speed Queen?

Yes. We carry parts and training for premium brands. These machines are built to last 20+ years and are worth repairing.

What if you can't fix it on the first visit?

If we need to order a part, we'll tell you on the spot with a firm total for parts and return-visit labour, then book the return trip — usually within 2 business days.

Will you offer same-day washer repair in Edmonton when you open?

When we open in October 2026, we plan to offer same-day appointments for morning bookings. Afternoon bookings typically finish next morning. Join the waitlist to be one of the first to book.
