Whether your washer won't drain, won't spin, or just stopped mid-cycle — Kodiak's Edmonton technicians will carry the most common washer parts on every truck. Most repairs are done on the same visit.
Water left in drum after cycle. Usually a pump, filter, or lid switch issue. Deep dive →
Drum sits still or spins weakly. Often a drive belt, motor coupling, or control board. Deep dive →
Puddles under or around the machine. We trace the source fast. Deep dive →
Machine unresponsive. Could be door latch, control board, or power supply. Deep dive →
Banging, grinding, or squealing during cycle. Bearings or drum support.
Inlet valve, water pressure, or lid switch may be at fault.
Off-balance load, worn suspension rods, or levelling issue.
Modern laundry comes in seven main configurations. Each has different repair labour because the install style affects access. Here's what we service — and the few cases where we honestly recommend something else.
The modern standard. Front-mounted round door, larger capacity, gentler on clothes. All major brands serviced.
Lid on top, classic mechanical or modern impeller design. Long-lived workhorses. All major brands and models.
Two separate units connected by a stack kit. Labour runs a bit higher than freestanding because the upper unit often gets disconnected for service — we quote on diagnosis.
Single-cabinet washer + dryer (Whirlpool, Kenmore, Frigidaire-style). We service most models. On units 15+ years old, parts can be discontinued — in that case we’ll tell you honestly.
Single unit that washes AND dries (Samsung WashTower, LG WashCombo, GE Profile ventless). We service most. Some newer ventless sealed-drum systems we’ll diagnose on arrival and quote on-site.
Less common configuration — top-load washer on the floor, front-load dryer mounted above on a wall shelf. We service it; the install setup affects labour.
Small countertop or rolling washers, common in condos. We focus on full-size laundry — portables are usually a replace-not-repair decision at this price point, and we’ll honestly say so.
We service all major washer brands sold in Canada, including:
Labour for most washer repairs typically falls in the $220–$350 range — whether it's parts replacement (drain pump, door lock, motor coupler) or a labour-only fix (leveling, drum alignment, main board reset). Parts are quoted separately when needed.

Every Kodiak job comes with liability insurance. Every part we install carries a 90-day warranty — the part and the labour to fit it. See what’s covered → Your home is protected — and so is the repair.
Ask us to look at your vent while we're there. If we're already in your home for any appliance repair, we'll inspect the dryer vent at no charge — it takes a couple of minutes and it's the cheapest problem in the house to catch early. Just ask when we arrive.
We confirm your appointment and give you an arrival window.
Your technician texts when on the way with a 3-hour arrival window.
Tech inspects the washer, runs error code checks, identifies the failed part.
Flat-rate labour, parts quoted separately. No pressure either way.
The most commonly needed washer parts will be on the truck. Back to your laundry as soon as the repair is done.
A good rule: if the repair costs less than 50% of a new comparable washer and the machine is under 8 years old, repair. Our tech will give you a straight answer — we don't push repairs that aren't worth it. We have a full guide here: Repair or Replace?
Not immediately dangerous, but it shortens the machine's life fast. Usually it's an unbalanced load, worn suspension rods, or a levelling issue. We can typically fix it on the same visit.
Yes. Speed Queen is one of the sixteen brands we service. These machines are built to last, and a fault on one is usually worth repairing rather than replacing the machine.
If we need to order a part, we'll tell you on the spot with a firm total for parts and return-visit labour, then book the return visit as soon as the part arrives.
We prioritise morning bookings where the routing allows. Get in touch and we’ll agree a day.
