Wall oven repair problems we solve

Common problems — 9

With a wall oven, getting to the part is most of the job. It comes out of the cabinet on its own weight, and on a double that's twice the machine in the same opening.

Oven won't heat

Element, thermal fuse, sensor or board. On a double, tell us which cavity — upper and lower have their own parts and often fail independently.

Only one cavity works

On a double oven the two halves are largely separate. One dead cavity is usually its own element or relay, not the whole appliance.

Baking unevenly

Sensor drift, or a convection fan that has stopped moving air. Worth diagnosing before you start compensating with the dial.

Convection fan noisy or dead

Motor or bearing. It gets louder before it stops, so a new noise is worth a call.

Door locked after a self-clean

The latch motor didn't release. The oven is fine; the lock isn't.

Door glass shattered

Inner glass can go without warning. Replaceable, and the door comes apart to do it.

Hinges sagging

The door stops sitting square and heat escapes at the top. Hinges are replaceable in pairs.

Touch panel unresponsive

Control board or the ribbon behind it. We test the chain rather than replacing the most expensive part first.

Error code on the display

Read us the code when you call. On built-ins it often decides whether the oven has to come out at all.

All major wall oven form factors

Types we service — 2

Wall ovens are built into cabinetry rather than standing on the floor, so access is from the front and the cabinet opening sets the terms. Two configurations.

Single wall oven diagram

Single

One cavity built into a cabinet. Bake element, sensor and door hinges are the three things we replace most, and all three are reachable from the front.

Double wall oven diagram

Double

Two cavities stacked in one opening, sharing a control board. Worth telling us which cavity is affected when you call — upper and lower are different parts.

Common questions

5 questions
Q1

My oven isn't heating — is it the element or the control board?

Most of the time it's a bake or broil element — a relatively simple fix. Control board failures do happen but are less common. Our tech will diagnose on the first visit and quote before touching anything.

Q2

Do you repair glass-top (ceramic/induction) stoves?

Yes. We service glass-top ranges — burner issues, control panel faults, cracked glass assessment, and element problems beneath the surface.

Q3

My stove burner works but the oven doesn't — is that normal?

Yes, it's common. The burners and oven use separate heating elements and controls. An oven that doesn't heat while burners work fine usually points to the bake element or oven thermostat.

Q4

Do you service stoves and ovens?

Yes — we service ranges, wall ovens and cooktops. All major brands.

Q5

How long does a stove or oven repair take?

Most repairs are completed on the first visit. If a part needs to be ordered, we'll book a return visit as soon as it arrives.
