About Electrolux

A Brand Built on European Craftsmanship

Electrolux was founded in 1919 in Stockholm, Sweden, and today is one of the world's largest appliance manufacturers. In North America, Electrolux owns Frigidaire and has a long history of premium home appliances known for European design cues and features like Perfect Steam and Wave-Touch controls.

Electrolux appliances tend to be feature-rich — steam cycles, wine chill compartments, precision-temp fridges. That sophistication is a plus for daily use but means more potential failure points over time. Kodiak's techs are trained on the Electrolux platform and know the common weak points.

Design Recognition

Electrolux is a repeat winner of iF Design Awards, Red Dot Awards, and CES Innovation Awards. The brand emphasizes energy efficiency and is an ENERGY STAR partner across most of its North American appliance range.

Honest note from Kodiak: Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch control panels are sensitive to moisture — a wet hand pressed on the panel repeatedly over years can degrade responsiveness. If your Electrolux touch controls are getting flaky, that's usually the cause and it's a fixable issue.

Electrolux Repairs We Handle

Our Calgary technicians know the Electrolux platform. We aim to stock the most common parts so most repairs can be done in a single visit.

Front-Load Washer Bearing Failure

Electrolux front-loaders develop drum bearing wear around the 7-10 year mark. Loud spin cycles are the classic symptom. We diagnose whether bearing replacement is worth it on your specific model.

Wave-Touch Control Panel Damage

Moisture-related failures on Wave-Touch and IQ-Touch panels are common. We repair or replace the affected panel and can advise on how to prevent it happening again.

Perfect Steam Cycle Faults

Steam generator sensor issues can cause the Perfect Steam cycle to error out. We diagnose the steam circuit and replace the failed component.

Dishwasher Control Board Failure

Electrolux dishwasher control boards can fail from water intrusion or power surges. We diagnose whether it's the board itself or a triggered protection response.

French Door Fridge Water Dispenser

Water line and dispenser valve failures are common on Electrolux French door fridges. Usually a straightforward valve or line replacement.

Fresh-Chill Zone Temperature Issues

Electrolux precision-temp zones (Fresh-Chill, Wine, etc.) can drift if the zone thermistor fails. We test and calibrate before recommending parts.

Every Electrolux Appliance

Washers, dryers, fridges, dishwashers, stoves, freezers, and over-the-range microwaves — we fix them all.

Common Questions

Yes. Frigidaire is owned by Electrolux and shares many platforms. We service both brands and stock common parts for both on the truck.

Often yes. Moisture damage is the most common cause. We can dry, clean, or replace the affected panel depending on severity.

Yes. We service Electrolux built-in wall ovens and column refrigerators. Note that built-in units sometimes require additional service time to access — we quote fairly for the extra work.

For common wear items — bearings, water valves, control boards — parts are readily available. For older or specialty parts, we may need a few extra business days to source through a distributor.

Yes. We diagnose the full steam circuit (water valve, generator, sensors) and repair or replace the failing component.

We do post-warranty repairs only. If your appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact the brand directly to have an authorized warranty technician handle it. Once the warranty period has passed, we're happy to step in — flat-rate pricing, and a 90-day warranty on our own parts and labour.
